Delhi is linked by air-conditioned, deluxe and ordinary bus services to all major destinations in north India. Five National Highways pass through Delhi and the most important of these are the Grand Trunk Road (National Highway 1) from Amritsar in the north, Mathura Road from Agra in the south, National Highway 2 from Calcutta in the east, and Gurgaon Road (National Highway 8) from Jaipur in the west. The Interstate Bus Terminus (ISBT), at Kashmir Gate (Ph: 011-23867042, 23868836), north of Old Delhi railway station, is the terminus for all intercity bus services.

Delhi Transport Corporation (Ph:011-3354518) and Road Transport Corporations of neighboring States provide frequent bus services. The Delhi Transport Corp bus (city) service operates between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily. Select routes also have night service buses plying between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. For inquires on bus routes, call: 011-23371745/23317445.

Recently Delhi has been introduced to High Capacity Bus Services to make city ride more comfortable, safer and cleaner. Its an experience, One should travel in city buses to exprience with the 'real' Delhi.
